LOVECOLOR
LOVECOLOR is the musical project of Ryan Carnes (Desperate Housewives, Cupid for Christmas, Doctor Who) and singer, songwriter, and producer Vanessa Silberman. On December 13 the band will release their self-titled, debut album on A Diamond Heart Production.
They have shared “New York Baby,” the latest single to be released from the forthcoming album. "New York Baby" is a sultry, alt-pop track that captures the electric tension of wanting to get closer to someone. With dreamy synths and seductive, heartfelt vocals, the song's mood evokes late-night city streets and intimate moments. The lyrics — like “your skin and your hair, like satin and lace, your scent is sweet, my hands on your waist" — paint a vivid picture of desire, while the chorus, "New York Baby, Iʼm in the mood, closer to you," enhances the track's magnetic pull. LOVECOLORʼs atmospheric production and raw emotional depth shine in this release.
LOVECOLOR's self-titled debut album is a captivating blend of sultry alt-pop, dark wave, and rock, evoking both euphoria and raw emotion. Across nine tracks, the duo delivers a cinematic soundscape that draws listeners into a world of late-night city streets, burning desire, and electric tension. From the hypnotic, slow-burn groove of “Love Held My Body” — with its haunting Chinese Guzheng sample and layers of brass, strings, and live drums — to the anthemic, 80s-inspired synths and pop hooks of “Hearts on Fire” and “Pure Love,” the album showcases the band's dynamic range and emotional depth. The track “New York Baby” further enhances this journey, capturing the tense, tightrope of desire with dreamy synths and seductive, heartfelt vocals that evoke late-night city streets. Drawing inspiration from classic influences like Robert Palmer, Nirvana, and INXS while infusing a fresh, modern twist, LOVECOLOR crafts music that feels as equally at home on the dancefloor at 3 a.m. as it does tugging at heartstrings in intimate moments. With production helmed by Vanessa Silberman, co-production by Ryan Carnes, and mixing by Andrew Dawson and Vanessa Silberman, the album seamlessly blends organic and synthetic elements, creating a sensual, atmospheric journey through love, desire, and connection.
